The Courier Mail recently ran an article on “Chugging” or charity mugging, where donors become fatigued from unwanted phone calls, shopping centre can shakers and constantly being asked to buy raffle tickets.

Do you feel that way sometimes?

That’s why GIVIT is different.

NO phone calls. No raffle tickets.

100% direct giving to those in need.

I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror,
The wide brown land for me!

(Dorothea Mackellar)

GIVIT has recently been appointed to assist the Queensland Government during times of disasters in Queensland such as cyclones & bushfires.

Our official role is as a partner for managing offers of donated goods & services, including corporate offers of assistance, for state emergencies.

In the 2011 floods, GIVIT facilitated the donation of 33,000 items in three weeks & over 45,000 items in a six month period.

During the recent Cyclone Dylan near Bowen in North Queensland, the GIVIT team was on standby. We were ready to take donations from the public & businesses to assist communities which were impacted. Fortunately, for our friends in North Queensland, Cyclone Dylan had a limited impact & we did not need to deploy our resources or seek donations. However, GIVIT stands ready to assist the next time Mother Nature wreaks havoc across the State.
